Point the camera. A live overlay draws a paw box around whatever animal walks into frame. Tap the big orange paw to lock the catch.

The phone does the work
Species head, silhouette segmenter, trait detector, all run on-device in under a second. No frames uploaded. Ever.

A new figurine
The silhouette gets extruded into a spinnable 3D keepsake. Drag to rotate, flick for momentum, drop it in your Dex.

The overlay redraws the paw box every frame as the animal moves. Tap once, the on-device pipeline runs species + segmentation + trait inference before your finger leaves the screen.

Rarity tier, breed, and observed traits ride in from the classifier in under a second. Every catch is stashed in your Dex; the map share is opt-in per catch and off by default.

Six months, one couch, a very patient golden retriever.
I built SnapPetz because I wanted a Pokedex for the animals I actually see. My dog on the couch. The heron at the pond. The suspicious raccoon on the fence at 2 AM. If the phones in our pockets can classify a golden retriever in a quarter of a second, they should also let you collect one.
Every technical decision came from one rule: nothing about your phone or your photos ever leaves the device. That's why the AI stack ships as 240MB of TensorFlow Lite models inside the app bundle. No cloud round-trip. No analytics SDK. No tracking. If that matters to you, it matters to me.
